I just received my latest call from Prenda. It wasn’t Mark Lutz this time; it was someone named Jay Woffer (sp?), but it was a 305 (Miami) number. When I googled the number, it came up as “All Machinery Tractor Parts,” but further research showed that it was Prenda.
Anyway, this was the first time they overtly threatened to name me in a lawsuit instead of “graciously” extending their offer to settle for $3400. No cases have been filed in my state by Prenda (as far as I know), so I’m not sure if they were bluffing or not.
I don’t feel comfortable sharing more online in case they aren’t bluffing, but feel free to contact me if you want more info.
They usually start by offering to settle. Then the threatening phone calls come. Last it out! Perserve!
After I started blocking their calls, I noticed they would call from different numbers. The “All Machinery Tractor Parts” was one of them. I don’t pick up anything outside of my area code.
Don’t be afraid to give them the Richard Pryor Response. Then say thank you and hang up. Easy

The phone calls started up again after a three month layoff urging me to get counsel and have them get in contact immediately. Still haven’t gotten a valid case number in my voicemails yet. Still haven’t gotten anything in the mail from them. Still haven’t gotten a knock on the door from a process server. Nice to know that my voicemail works.
