DieTrollDie.com Is Two Years Old

Happy Birthday All!!!

DieTrollDie.com is two years old.

TT1As busy as I have been, this milestone almost got past me.  When I started this journey, I had no idea of what I was doing or what to expect.  I probably still don’t have the best handle on everything, but I’m proud regardless.  I knew my background and previous experiences could be useful and relevant to many of the Does out there.

This last year has seen some interesting cases and developments.  AZ Harris case, Torpedoes/Declarations, Liable/Defamation suits, Alan Cooper Gate, Exculpatory Evidence Request Letters, Star Trek Wrath of Khan, PA Bellwether Trail, Waiver of Service, and One Satisfaction ruling.  Links to some of these are below.

I hope the next will be just as fun.  One interesting thing is happening right now – The Does from the first wave of 2010 porn copyright infringement cases are reaching the statute of limitations – three years from last date of infringement.

Take care, be careful, and I raise my glass to you.  Cheers!

    Happy Birthday !!!!
Without you and SJD, I don’t think I could have gotten thru the pass couple of years without major medical issues.

You and SJD are a credit to the human race !!!!

I feel terribly guilty that two years of the best entertainment in town hasn’t cost me a dime. I know it’s not over yet, but watching the divorces, the rats eating each other and the enterprise crumbling right before my very eyes … I tell you people, it brings a joyous tear to my eyes. This site exposed such a large scale extortion. There were so many innocent people swept up in the Prenda Dragnet. Some used walkers in their everyday lives; some were disabled American Veterans. Some were children. It was like they had chosen the weakest victims and then preyed on them. Hideous and despicable people. Thank you, DTD & SJD. Because of your work and your sites, I actually enjoyed paying my cable bill.

It has cost me a little bit, but it is my decision. Here are some choice words concerning duty from an author I like.

Do not confuse “duty” with what other people expect of you; they are utterly different. Duty is a debt you owe to yourself to fulfill obligations you have assumed voluntarily. Paying that debt can entail anything from years of patient work to instant willingness to die. Difficult it may be, but the reward is self-respect.

But there is no reward at all for doing what other people expect of you, and to do so is not merely difficult, but impossible. It is easier to deal with a footpad than it is with the leech who wants “just a few minutes of your time, please — this won’t take long.” Time is your total capital, and the minutes of your life are painfully few. If you allow yourself to fall into the vice of agreeing to such requests, they quickly snowball to the point where these parasites will use up 100 percent of your time — and squawk for more!

So learn to say No — and to be rude about it when necessary.

Otherwise you will not have time to carry out your duty, or to do your own work, and certainly no time for love and happiness. The termites will nibble away your life and leave none of it for you. (This rule does not mean that you must not do a favor for a friend, or even a stranger. But let the choice be yours. Don’t do it because it is “expected” of you.)

Happy Birthday! And you are right…my 3 years is up in 29 days. Back when this all first started (for me), information on what the hell was going on was rare. No one had any real experience with the trolls, and judges seemed to be letting discovery requests go through without a second thought. I seriously considered settling, which would have meant having to sell my camper, and maybe even my truck to raise the cash. In a word, I was scared, and I just wanted out from under all this crap. But then you (and FCT) came on the scene and started poking holes in the threats and you started to shed light on how flimsy the lawsuits should be. Words like extortion started to be thrown around, and judges started putting on the brakes a little. I decided to just sit tight. And I’m glad I did. Things started to fall apart for Steele and Co,. It was tiny victories for our side at first, but then EVERYONE started to see exactly what was going on. Fast-forward to today…Steele and his gang are running scared, defendants are fighting back and winning, and I’m very nearly out of the woods. And much of that is due to this site. Thanks again for all you’ve done and you have every right to be proud of your accomplishments.

Happy birthday DTD! Here is a present: your own first post on FCT!

  6. Just me says:

Couple more months to go but the wealth of information provided by you and SJD has been incredibly generous helped many of us through some tough times. And to all those having passed through this blog and others like keep up the good fight! Thanks a 100x over to DTD & SJD! Lets not forget TAC or Raul both who always have added common sense and a voice of reason.
